[ethereal-users] Upgrading to 8.7, how to

I am currently running v8.4 and would like to go to 8.7.

Is the process as simple as recompiling with v8.7 or do I have to delete something or, or, or ?????

As you can readily surmise, I am NOT a linux/unix groupie.
