I have installed ethereal-0.9.8 and Wincap 2.3 in my laptop with Win2k. It really works.

I did everything you told me, but still it doesn't work. You can check the interface and the steps I was doing with the attached picutes. Enlarge to 100% to be clear. Thanks for your help. I'm using win2000.

If your using this version on an XP box, it won't work. Download 2.3, uninstall Ethereal, uninstall 3.0, reboot, install 2.3 then install Ethereal. You should be in good shape after that provided your NIC isn't the problem.

I checked the user's guide, downloaded and installed the WinPcap 3.0 alpha 4 and ethereal-setup-0.9.8.exe at

http://www.ethereal.com/distribution/win32/ and http://winpcap.mirror.ethereal.com/install/default.htm; then whe I run it, I didn't capture anything and top packet list pane shows nothing. Anybody help to explain why this? Thank.
